Stories have often been humanity's way of explaining the world around them, in this story it is explained how life on Earth came to be as well as how a turtle's shell came to have a part of Earth on itself. I feel if I were a native person this tale would have satisfied my questions if I was younger but once I grew older I would have many more questions, like for example, "What happened to the rest of the people? Did they fall down the hole as well?". I would be unsatisfied and look for more answers.
