Final Reflection For World Literature 2020-2021

This semester was unlike any other, it was full of challenges and changes, but I believe it also helped us grow. We grew as a group and individually as well. I do not know if I would like to relieve this semester but I did enjoy experiencing it. So many things made this year so different, from the pandemic to the new school year or the lack of new connections, almost everything was different. This course in particular was especially different. The focus on grades was much much smaller, and instead of focusing on English as a solitary concept, we were allowed to see how I related to the world. The assignments were also not just busy work with no meaning and helped us express our thoughts to others. I really appreciated that I could go look at my peers' blogs and see what they were thinking just as they could look at my blog and see what I am thinking. It felt like the work we did actually meant something because at the very least it would go up on our blogs. It felt like we lef

Literature Analysis #1

1. I chose the book The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey for my first literature analysis. The story starts off in the main character, Cassie, point of view. She is alone trying to survive an alien invasion in the forest, it stays that way for a while until she is forced to kill a soldier. Cassie then decides to try and rescue her brother Sammy who is in a military base, however, she runs into a "silencer" and gets shot in the knee. Death hangs over Cassie but she is saved by a fellow lone survivor Evan Walker. He doesn't make sense though, the puzzle pieces don't fit right, and we later discover he is one of them, he is "other", he is an alien. Though Evan is "other", he manages to gain Cassie's trust and they leave to go save Sammy. Meanwhile, the point of view also switches to Cassie's old crush Ben Parish or "Zombie". He was also brought back from the brink of death and was whipped back into shape for one cause, to destroy the "

Les Mis Book 2 Ch 5

Jean or the traveler, will finally get some rest in this chapter but before that, he does something which could be considered threatening. We do not know why Jean did this but he did. Jean questioned the Bishop of why he had accepted him, what if Jean had been an assassin? The Bishop just said it was in the hands of God and then Jean fell asleep promptly.
