In this chapter of Les Miserables, there are many comparisons drawn between Jesus and the Bishop. For example, the comparison of both ride into towns on a simple donkey. Another similarity pointed out was the way the Bishop spoke to the people, the Bishop spoke to the people in a way that "...formed the real eloquence of Jesus Christ".
